How it works
- Paste a Steam profile URL, vanity name, SteamID64, or STEAM_/[U:1:…] format, and click Appraise. No login — this only reads what's already public on that profile.
- The server resolves the SteamID, then pulls the profile, owned games, and inventories for CS2, Dota 2, TF2, Rust and Steam Community items (cards, backgrounds, gems) via Steam's own APIs.
- Items are priced from Skinport first, then a Steam Community Market fallback for anything Skinport doesn't carry. Games are priced from the Steam store in your detected region, sale-aware.
- Everything's cached (30 min for inventories, longer for prices) so repeat visits are fast and Steam's rate limits stay respected.
Guidelines
- Every number here is a market estimate, not a guarantee of what you'd actually receive — prices move, and marketplace fees apply when you actually sell (see the "cost to cash out" line on your results).
- This tool prices and links to individual tradeable items through real marketplaces (Skinport, Steam Community Market) — the same as any legitimate skin trade.
- It does not help sell or transfer whole Steam accounts. That violates Steam's Subscriber Agreement and is a well-known scam vector (sellers commonly reclaim accounts via original recovery access after "selling" them) — this app appraises accounts, it doesn't facilitate moving them.
- A ban warning, when shown, means Valve's own data says trading on that account is very likely restricted — treat the total as informational only in that case.
FAQ
Why did my total change between two appraisals?
Usually price volatility, not a bug — Skinport refreshes its feed every few minutes, and low-supply items (think rare knife patterns) can swing a lot on one new listing. Steam Market prices are cached longer and move less often.
What do "liquid", "thin market" and "illiquid" mean?
How easily that specific item could actually sell right now — based on real Skinport listing counts or Steam Market 24h trade volume, not just its price. Liquid = plenty of supply/demand; illiquid = priced fairly, but there may only be one other listing to compete with.
Why do some items show "not marketable" or "no current listings"?
"Not marketable" means Steam itself blocks that item from being traded (common for promo/Twitch-drop items). "No current listings" means it's tradeable but neither Skinport nor Steam Market currently has a real price for it — it counts as $0 rather than a guessed number.
What's a "trade hold"?
A temporary restriction (shown with the date it lifts) — common right after receiving a fresh item, e.g. a new Rust drop. Different from "not marketable," which is permanent.
The game price doesn't match what I see on Steam — why?
Steam prices the same game very differently by country (Rust is $39.99 in the US store, $18.99 in Pakistan's, ₹1,799 in India's). The store region selector at the top guesses your region from your browser automatically, but you can override it manually if the guess is off.
What's the difference between "Store region" and "Currency"?
They do different jobs. Store region changes which country's Steam store your game library is actually priced against — Rust genuinely costs a different real dollar amount in the US store vs. Pakistan's, before any conversion. Currency is a pure display layer on top of that: it converts whatever number is already computed into EUR, PKR, etc. using live exchange rates. Switching currency to EUR doesn't make the site think you're shopping the German Steam store — only the region selector does that.
Why aren't my Rust DLC packs (Instruments, Sunburn, etc.) counted?
DLC is an account entitlement, not an inventory item — there's no public API for checking whether another account owns a piece of DLC, so it's honestly left out rather than guessed at.
Do you store my Steam password or login?
No — nothing here ever asks for or touches your Steam credentials. Everything is read from Steam's own public APIs and endpoints, the same data anyone could look up about a public profile.
Can I be removed from the public leaderboard?
The leaderboard is opt-in per appraisal (unchecked by default) — but once posted, there's currently no self-serve way to remove it. Use the contact form below and it'll be handled manually.
How do I share my appraisal so it shows a preview card on Discord/Twitter?
Use the "Copy link" button in the Share Card section — it copies a /share/<steamid> link, not the plain site URL. That specific link is what carries the image/title data Discord and Twitter read to build a preview card; the regular homepage link won't show one. This only works once the site is live on a real public domain — a localhost link can't generate a preview because external services like Discord have no way to reach your own computer to fetch it.
