What this site does

VAULTMARK appraises public Steam profiles — game library and item inventory value — using Steam's own public APIs and third-party market prices (Skinport, Steam Community Market). No login, no Steam credentials, ever.

What's collected

• No account, no login, no Steam credentials — everything shown comes from Steam's own public APIs, the same data anyone could look up about a public profile.
• Every completed appraisal saves a snapshot (persona name, avatar URL, totals, timestamp) to power "value over time" history — private by default, tied only to the SteamID64 looked up.
• That snapshot only becomes visible to other visitors if the person explicitly opts into the public leaderboard — unchecked by default, per-appraisal, not a permanent setting.
• The contact form never sends anything to this server — it opens your own email client with the message pre-filled.
• Steam profile data, item prices, and inventory contents are cached temporarily (30 minutes to a few hours) purely to avoid hammering Steam's rate limits.

Analytics

Basic usage analytics are logged — page loads, appraisals started, share-link views — with no cookies, no per-visitor identifier, and no IP address stored. Just event counts with the page and referrer, visible only to the site owner.
